Andrew Phillips aka Bontan is a Liverpool, UK born and raised DJ\/ Producer that has become one of the biggest ever selling artists on Beatport voted Radio 1 Future Star, received a Best Newcomer trophy at the DJ Awards, achieved multiple Beatport #1s and has an Essential Mix and Coachella play\u2028under his belt too. <\/span><\/p>\n

A string of early releases, a coming together with Josh Butler resulted in\u2028\u2018Call You Back\u2019\u2028,\u2028which came out on\u2028Origins Records.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2028It would climb the Beatport charts and provide Bontan with his second overall #1 record -\u2028a stand out release for both artists. He swiftly\u2028followed up with his debut on Hot\u2028Creations,\u2028with his\u2028\u2018First Time EP\u2019\u2028being premiered by Pete Tong on BBC\u2028Radio 1 and was supported by all of the heavyweight dance music\u2028publications. <\/span><\/p>\n

It went on to receive over 300 radio plays worldwide and\u2028streamed millions of\u2028times.\u2028 <\/span><\/p>\n

The First Time became Hot Creations biggest selling record of the year and made Bontan the highest selling artist on Beatport across all genres for the same period, laying the foundations for a defining year for the young artist.\u2028 <\/span><\/p>\n

Leaning more to a slight change in direction in his production with organic\u2028percussion and smooth melodies, a fresh take on Bontan’s sound was born.\u2028A\u2028Radio 1 Essential Mix\u2028imminently followed and Bontan\u2019s international touring\u2028schedule took off, exposing himself to new fans Worldwide, and scaling the heights of dance music while allowing his sound to migrate and progress into\u2028a more refined and signature Bontan sound.\u2028 <\/span><\/p>\n
